Rated 3 out of 5 by from Worst larch design ever I bought this cooler approximately 8 months ago. I knew the latches were a horrible design and very poorly built from the beginning. However, I decided to keep it anyway and see how they held up. Yesterday after a day of fishing I realized one of the rubber pieces was torn at the pin. Closer inspection revealed that all of the rubber pieces were already showing severe wear at the pins with very little use since I've owned it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Built like a tank, air tight, just as promised I needed a great cooler to go with a great boat. I wanted a cooler that was long enough for dorado, large stripped bass, and grouper, but also deep enough to fill my limit with sheepshead, etc etc. this cooler is excellent. I filled it with ice water and latched it down and then kicked it over and no water leaked out. It's a better deal compared to Yeti...$100 less expensive and holds I've longer. I don't understand why someone would buy a Yeti. These coolers are bear proof also. just saying. It's illogical to buy a yeti.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great ice chest This ice chest keeps my ice frozen, my fish cold and provides a seat for two 300 lb guys on my boat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable! I bought this at the beginning of the summer for multi-night river trips in Western Colorado and Southern Utah. The cooler is comparable to our Yeti and RTIC coolers. It kept block ice throughout a week in 90+ desert heat. Near the end of the summer we purchased another! The only thing I would change if I were to get more is getting them in the tan color as I don't think it would get dirty as fast.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic cooler! Purchased the Engel 123 last month for a 6 day raft in Desolation Canyon, Utah. Just got back and the cooler performed exceptionally well. Plenty of ice at the take out despite the 100+ degree daytime temps. The hanging baskets were a key add on, kept perishables out of the icy water. Highly recommended. Most likely picking up a 35 soon for day and overnight trips.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from really performs got to use this cooler on a trip to Illinois in November. we put ice in it , using it daily the ice lasted over a week. when it was time to bring my deer home, the frozen deer 24 hours later didnt even have frost on the wrappers. packages felt like they had just been put in the cooler.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hands down.... Engel the best Used commercially and hard in a wilderness whitewater business, the chest holds food products for six days with ice to spare. It's the only cooler I buy, and with over 36 years outfitting, I've tried a few.
